C’mon…you know you want to donate your taco…

Hi everyone…long time no blog. But I’m back with as good a reason as I can think of…it’s time once again to donate your taco.

More than 10,000 people donated their taco in 2007; we’re shooting for more in 2008. Please visit www.donateyourtaco.com for an easy way to give a (very) little back…and please pass the word.

Thanks.

Jeremy

www.donateyourtaco.com

The final tally had more than 9,200 people donating their taco…a pretty cool exercise in viral marketing, sociology and a few other things. We’re getting a luke warm response from Taco Bell, but as soon as I tell them McDonalds, Wendy’s and BK will be picking up the tab they should come around. Thanks again to anyone who donated and please check the site for more updates. Oh, and Go Pats :)

It’ s been a while since I’ve been heard or seen on the WB, but a good cause has brought me out into the sunlight once again.  What started as a lunch conversation turned into www.donateyourtaco.com within 24-hours.  The response has been overwhelming, and the opportunity to connect with a lot of people I’ve known for a while and a lot I’ve never met has been the best part…all of you included.

Thanks in advance for taking a look and passing along the link…and thanks for donating your taco

Value barometer of the day…

Below is part of a column that ran in Sports Illustrated and a link to the entire piece.  There’s some basic lesson to be learned here , but I’m not sure what it is.  What would all of you morally suspect past, present and future little league coaches do???

Helen Thomas, Tom Brady and, as always, getting what we deserve

Below is a link to a review of White House reporter (and resident fish face) Helen Thomas’ new book on the role of the press corp in helping to shape — or as she suggests, not shape — world events.

I got most of what I needed from the review, so I’m not sure I’ll buy the book (sorry Helen) but she does raise an interesting issue in pointing out the lack of a “watchdog” mentality by the modern day media. Having covered nine (yes, nine) Presidents, she does have some credibility, though righteous credibility for sure.
