I think I’ll try my hand at Children’s Poems… for my daughter’s ears to enjoy

I Saw a Tree Reaching High

I saw a tree reaching high
into the air
waving to the wind
to the wind up there.

I saw a squirrel climb up the tree
to the highest branch
so his tail could dance
with the bright green living dancing leaves.

I heard a bird up in the tree
whistling songs to the dancing breeze
and the squirrel’s tail dancing happily
and orange sunlight shimmering.

I heard the squirrel start chattering
with the bird song whistling
in the whirling whispered dancing breeze
that fluttered all those dancing leaves.

I saw a world up in that tree
with dancing tails and sun bright leaves
and chattering and whistled songs
and wind of course to hold it all.
