Tips for Photographing Fireworks

We’ll be heading into Red Bank to watch the fireworks tonight, along with about 170,000 other people. Over the years we’ve found some pretty good vantage points so I’m going to stash my Manfrotto in the jogging stroller and try to take some good snaps. For anyone else looking to get decent pictures of fireworks tonight, here are some some tips:

Use a tripod

Go with a slow ISO (100 or lower)

Use a small aperture f/8, f/11 or f/16

Use a long shutter speed (4-20 seconds)
