I’ve got a bunch of tabs open in my browser relating to Flickr, so I figured a quick post is in order.
I was trying to get my Quicksilver upload-to-flickr working the other day. It worked but tagging didn’t because I wasn’t using it correctly. In Googling for some docs, I came across this handy Right Click to Upload to Flickr action for OS X.
If you’re looking for something a bit more feature-rich than Quicksilver for uploading snaps, you can look at juploadr. it looks wicked easy to use and runs on a variety of OSes. I’m still a big fan of 1001 but it’s not really the easiest to use application for non-geeks.
I also came across a Wordpress plugin for Flickr. Meaning, if you’re in the stone ages and you’re using the web interface to post to your blog (e.g. everyone on the WBB ;-) this plugin makes it easy to add your flickr pics to your post. If any WBB contributors want me to add this plugin to the WBB, drop me a line.
And, finally, if you’re looking to tweak your flickr sets a bit more dynamically, here’s a tool for “smart” flickr sets. Haven’t had a chance to futz around with it yet, but it’s been in an open browser tab for a few days so it’s probably worth a mention.
Enjoy!
