freedom of press

i am kind of glad to see that the govt of namibia is using common sense and acknowledging that what the paparazzi does is actually harrassment and NOT one of their rights.

Why just the press? Let’s pattern all our constitutional and civil rights systems - and maybe our economic and tax systems as well - after the way they do things in Namibia. What a forward-looking approach!

thats not what i meant. i meant they had the common sense not to take it to an extreme, like you and the paprazzi seem to do regularly.
since i dont know much about how they run other things, i’d like to stick to my original statement and say i am glad that they used common sense and charged the paparazzi with harrassment, which is exactly what they are guilty of.

    also, thought this was interestging…
“Hailed as one of the most liberal constitutions in the world, the Namibian Constitution is one of few constitutions worldwide that provides for the maintenance of ecosystems, essential ecological processes, biological diversity and the utilization of natural resources on a sustainable basis. It furthermore provides measures against the dumping or recycling of foreign nuclear and toxic waste on Namibian territory in order to ensure the future of the country for present and future generations.”

so, maybe there is some forward thinking there afterall…
