There is almost no discernable difference in these tones with the, maybe a semitone and dynamic variation. That must be some kind of joke.

I see you lack the fine ear of a trained cowbellist such as myself. The range of tones offered by this instrument truly open the range of modern cowbell soloing possibilities. Where before I would require five or six bells to express my innermost angst and joy and ennui, now I can proudly step to the front of the stage for my 15-minute piss-break/cowbell extravaganza with JUST ONE BELL. It’s surely a giant leap forward for all musicians, but particularly those of us who’ve long been sidelined to instruments with more “notes” or “inherent musicality” or “less grating and deafening” sounds. Now my time has come, I tell you!
