There’s little doubt that Ignatius Reilly (the narrator of J.K. Toole’s Confederacy of Dunces), has one of the most unique voices in American fiction. The book has been one of my favorites for a long time.
Though Toole has been long dead, the voice of his character Ignatius has been reborn in an email dialog between Spammer/Phisher Winnie Mandela and Ignatius. Complete with great references to Boethius. Must read.
