of course, the civil liberties union is against this new policy of increased security, claiming that it violates thier basic rights.

I agree. Random searches are insane.
the attorney generals office insures that the searches are not random at all but specifaclly determined as every fifth person or every tenth person. i suspect this is done to insure that racial profiling doesnt occur. it is also the way in which DWI stops are conducted, every third car etc etc. i, along with many of the people polled on tv and in the media scum, feel that the searches are fine. maybe a little annoying but it is widely understood that it is for the safety of all. personally i wish they would do it randomly and racially profile while they are at it.
