Why are Americans so stupid? In Australia, they use shark nets around designated swimming areas throughout the whole coastline. These areas also have full time lifeguards.  Anyone swimming outside the shark nets, swims at their own risk.  In the past, most shark bites incidents from AU have happened to vacationers (mostly U.S.) who decided to swim outside the shark net areas.</description>
