David Foster Wallace commencement speech

DFW did the commencement speach for Kenyon University. For a while I was very gung-ho about all things DFW. I enjoyed infinite jest and liked some of what i read in A supposedly fun thing . . . but then there was something about the depth of the irony in his writing that made me feel bad for him and his disconnection from the routine of daily life. Then I read his commencement speech. Which is wonderful. And he’s either developed and adjusted (his term) or I was misreading some of his writing. Anyway, the speech is totally worth the 5 minutes it takes to read it.
