A big shout out to my brother Beedge who used to be a fatass like me but who is currently well under the weight of his nickname (aka The Deuce). He finished the Spring Lake Five yesterday. Congrats BJ! (I don’t think this changes the fact that I can still totally kick your ass though ;-)

Within 24 hrs of the completion of SL5 I managed to counteract the beneficial effects of the run with a Bacon-blue cheese burger the size of my head followed by ice cream and accompanied by several cocktails and many beers. The big question after fullfilling a long term goal is what next? I run 5 milers three times a week and while the SL5 was cool because it was my first organized run, I don’t know if i care to run6 or more miles. Any suggestions?
may i suggest some of my favorite sports: fishing, chili cook-offs’s, golf once a year
i have never been one to run/exercise all that much but there is a local triathalon here once a year that consist of a 6 mile canoe ride, 6 mile run and an 18mile bike ride. now that sounds like fun and it can only do me good so i think some friends and i are going to give it a try. maybe there is something similar in your neck of the woods.
