Portable digital music player <$100

I let my gym membership expire months ago. My gut is growing. I need to get off my ass more. I hate, hate, hate going to the gym (and exercising, in general), but I have to do something to work off the tortillas. I’m thinking about spending decent money on running shoes, and I think my exercise regimen might go better if I had something to keep me running. Something like the iPod Shuffle because it’s small enough to wear while running and costs around $100. I’ve been told there are cheaper music players with the same capacity, but I don’t know what’s good. I’m leaning towards the iPod Shuffle because I’m already a Mac user and because I think it looks sharp and easy to use. I’d love to hear suggestions on what I should buy. I’d also take recommendations on shoes.

don’t have much help on MP3 players but i would most likely go for the ipod shuffle myself only because its cool and i am a loyal mac fan. as far as running shoes I have been a loyal New Balance fan for years. I have given others brands a try but New Balance has the best arch for my feet. if you want any advice on clothing i am still loyal to my white t-shirts and khaki pants every day, don’t have to think about what to wear in the morning and only have two loads of laundry each week.

Well, I couldn’t stand it, so I just bought the iPod shuffle. This weekend I think I’ll pick up a pair of NBs. Then I’m hitting the streets again!
