I’ve been incognito around here for a while because I’ve been busy as all get-out with various things at work and home. Work’s been about a zillion times more insane than usual but we should have some fantastic stuff to show for our labors (in a week or so). Home’s been crazy since the dude has decided it’s a good idea to get up every hour on the hour to stand up in his crib and do the super-freak. Today he seems to be getting back to his usual angelic self.

We’ve also got about a foot and a half of snow keeping us holed up indoors which is starting to take its toll.

So anyway, I decided to give the site a little color since everything around here reeks of winter and I need a little dose of digital serotonin. I’ve got a few more changes in store based upon various levels of feedback from the WB contributors. The new layout ought to allow me to implement some of their better suggestions.

Also, if i haven’t talked/IM’d/emailed or otherwise bumped into you this week, you probably haven’t heard my latest rant about how much I’m digging audioscrobbler. It’s got its limitations in that it doesn’t give me all the listening metrics I’m looking for or an easy way to pull the listening data out for analysis. However, I’ve got a few hundred listening entries for data now and it’s doing a decent job at suggesting new music to me (the last.fm integration is really a sweet feature). If for nothing else, listeners looking for new music suggestion need to check it out. Let me know if you get an account so I can add you to my roster.

With a little luck, things will calm down a bit over the next few weeks and I’ll be able to get some mo’ better posting going on.
