key west

let me bore you with a recap of my recent trip to key west without the wife and kids.
arrive friday: afternoon fishing trip is cancelled due to severe weather. had two beers at a floating barge bar and a delicious blackened chicken sandwich while i was waiting out the rain. decided to take shelter in irish kevins for two beers. got a text message from a friend at work instructing me to go to sloppy joes web cam. i quickly finished my beer and walked a few feet to sloppyy joes where i proceeded to drink two more beers in front of the stage cam. next stop was hogs breath. the cam at hogs breath is very fast and clear so i met a nice group of people in front of the raw bar cam and soon lost count as at least eight beers were consumed in the following two hours. at about 5 the band took a little break so i headed out. not sure where but i know i wound up at the hotel for a little nap. wake about 8. fish from the pier for an hour. go out to several more bars till two.
sat. 6:30 am depart hotel for marina. pick up two delicious cafe con leches at paradise cafe as well as a chicken sandwich and a cuban sandwich. my head was a bit off as i was clearly hung over but survived a full day of catching bait and fish on the water. never touched the sandwiches. showered up and headed over to pepes. had two or three beers and the sampler of oysters. went for a sushi roll and a beer after that. then i made it back to sloppy joes for the pete and wayne show. friggin hysterical. pitt/nyj jet game as well. wound up having several beers with a couple i had met the night before. made a few more stops including one at the smallest bar in the world. got to sleep a bit earlier so i wouldnt ruin my final day of fishing.
sun. fish all day. eat the chicken sandwich that was so good i have not stopped thinking about it.
showered up and went to green parrot, meteor bar, sloppy joes, hogs breath, a&b lobster bar, ricks, dirty harry’s, fogarty’s, some cuban place and maybe one or two more bars for a few small beers. then i went back to watch desperate houswives. i went back out.

came back monday
had a great time i think.

KW - no place like it! You missed the Half Shell Raw Bar, Finnegan’s Wake, Schooner Wharf, the Garden of Eden and Blue Heaven, all favorite stops of ours - basically you didn’t get off Duval Street enough. And you’re way too old for the crowd at Irish Kevin’s (one of the Kevins, the one from Donegal, we know pretty well from his previous job). We’ll be there in March as usual, and you’ve whetted my appetite - or at least my thirst - and reminded me why we’re going.

One of these days… I’ll experience that hot Key West sun and enough of those cold Key West beers to convince me to body paint a tuxedo onto myself (or maybe a Civil War uniform so I can disguise my johnson as a musket… waka waka waka!).

I am amused and quite happy to realize that you still love stinky cheap beer. I was hoping Liz might have cultured you up a bit with a few fine wine classes, no? My second intriguing question: Why weren’t hit on by any gorgeous looking men? No bar hopping @ La Te Da’s? :)

    Your old friend Robyn

Robyn Rebollo!!!! What’s up sista? Long time no see. Anyhow, the answer to your question about Chris getting hit on is quite simple. Any man that would have had thoughts of luring Chris into the sack, would have been far to scared of his manhood after taking one look at the sausage fingers.
