Wow, Yahoo!’s really been kicking some ass lately with it’s services. They just released traffic overlays on their maps/driving directions tool. Sweet. Should be helpful on the Treo on my trips to NJ.
OK, I *definitely* would not expect this to stay up for long since it’s really more of a proof-of-concept. But, if you’re on AIM (e.g. you have an AIM instant messaging account), try adding ‘rirogerbot’ to your buddy list. Then try typing something like ’search where do i register to vote” as an IM to the rirogerbot. All of its answers are geared towards rhode island, so my brethren in NY/NJ may not have much fun w/ this, but it’s a pretty kickass proof of concept if you ask me. I spent about 2 hours total on getting it running.
Just in time for Christmas, the debut release by the M Shanghai String Band, Up From The Ground Below. I recorded and played mandolin on this, and we continue to play on the first Saturday of every month at the M Shanghai Den in Williamsburg. Great kitchen music to play while you cook your Christmas ham, I hope you will consider picking up a copy from CD Baby.
